A teashop proprietor at the Pokhara, Nepal airport in the 1960s makes "sel roti" a Nepali donut made from rice flour. He is preparing for his morning guests with his glasses rinsed and aligned, "popperdam" fried and piled on a plate, next to a bowl full of spiced "garbanzo beans". All that one needed to sustain oneself between meals in Nepal in those days.
