This actually looks a lot like the little Hindu temples all over Kathmandu and Patan and Bhaktapur, especially how it’s all covered with paint and other offerings, and in fact according to the Patan Museum some branches of Hinduism do recognize Buddhist deities, so maybe that’s what’s up here? Ask me about feeling completely culturally illiterate. Oy.
