SECURITY HAS been beefed up on the nearly 300-km long Indo-Nepal border touching Uttarakhand following intelligence reports that Nepali Maoist ultras might soon launch a major surprise offensive to forcibly acquire a cache of sophisticated assault weapons from the Indian security personnel manning the border.
