KATHMANDU : A candidate from a party preparing to contest elections in Nepal was shot dead by unidentified assassins on Tuesday, police said. Rishi Prasad Sharma “succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital,” superintendent of police, Ram Kumar Khanal said.
